Founded in 1999, C&D Services was established by Steve Willsone following two redundancies in as many years. Steve knew that as an experienced and skilled panel beater, he could build a business for himself and his family. With support from wife Julie and his parents C&D Services was born.

Humble Beginnings

Initially, Steve carried out all the work himself, from a small unit in Barking, Essex. Steve’s keen eye for detail ensured quality and his ethos to ‘go above and beyond’ allowed customers to trust him. As his reputation grew, Steve landed his first contract and as more customers came, Steve employed his first repair technician and then another. Julie joined the team in 2002 when running the administrative side of the business became a full time role, allowing Steve to remain focused on delivering customers the quality and service levels that C&D Services is known for today.

2004

By 2004, C&D Services had expanded into two units on the original site with four employees on the shop floor. At this point, Steve had the role of estimator, manager and business owner and recognised that the time had come to take on a manager. Paul joined the business and he and Steve worked hard to take C&D Services to the next level.

2008

C and D Services expanded into a disused Church on an industrial park. An unexpected but perfect location for them to set up a purpose built Accident Repair Centre. The business obtained BSI accreditation PAS125 within the first year and contracts were established with a number of well known nationwide Clients. The next move for Steve and Paul was to gain vehicle manufacturer approval where manufacturers recognise the quality of service provided is at the highest level, using only the manufacturers parts, paints and repair techniques. Honda was the first manufacturer approval achieved, and the number of car manufacturers approvals started to grow steadily.

The Present

In 2017, C and D Services was ready for another expansion and after an extensive refit, unveiled their state of the art Accident Repair Centre in Basildon Essex - a one-stop shop for all repair needs, be it fleet, insurance work or private vehicle. Hard work and consistency has landed an amazing 22 vehicle manufacture approvals and 18 highly skilled staff are employed to ‘go above and beyond’, following Steve’s original ethos for the business. And of course BSI PAS125 accreditation has been retained over all these years.
